Giving HIM praise!

So praise, what does that mean to you? When you see the dictionary definition for the word, it means applause, approval, admiration; or to say nice things about someone, to compliment. But what does it mean to you? What should we really only be praising? Material things, or a person that fits your entertainment? ABSOLUTELY NOT! All the praise we give out should only be for our Creator in Heaven! The Almighty and our Everlasting Father! To our God! I mean, just think about all He does for us! He is the one that fits our needs! He is the one who is the solution for every problem and dilemma! He is the one that makes us whole and who forgives us for every sin! (Psalm 136:1- Give thanks to the LORD for He is good. His love endures forever!) Not only should we take that one verse in Psalm 136 to heart, but we need to take the whole chapter to heart! It talks about how we need to give thanks to the Lord for many different reasons stated in this chapter. But the main highlight in Psalm 136 is how it says 'His love endures forever' after every verse! I mean EVERY verse! It just shows you that the love He has for us is never ending! And we always need to realize that and give Him all the praise! (Psalm 92:1-3- It is good to praise the LORD and make music to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim Your love in the morning, and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.) So you may think to your self, what can I do to praise God and give Him thanks? Well that choice is totally up to you! There are so many different ways to give the Lord praise! Whether its worshiping Him with or without music, or just sharing intimate prayer time with Him! He just wants our focus and our attention! Just think about this, do you spend more time watching tv or doing some sort of entertainment to fit your wants, or do you spend more time praising God and giving your all to Him? Just think about that.
